Albert

I started dancing with Becca 8 or so years ago, and I'm lucky to still be coaching dance with her! She celebrated her big 21st birthday a couple weeks ago and I wanted to make her cake extra special. Her boyfriend is overseas right now in the military and couldn't be here for her birthday, so I made sure he had some input in her birthday :)
I sent him a couple of pictures of cakes that Becca may like, and he picked out this one. He also reminded me that she LOVES godiva chocolate. So becca's cake was chocolate cake with godiva chocolate chips, and cookies and cream buttercream. it was delicious!!
We danced together for 6 years, so we spent close to 6 straight years together, seeing each other probably more than our own families! Especially over the last few years, we have gotten much closer and so have our families. She's become one of my very best friends...she's fabulous! :) I never would've thought it when we first met each other because becca is SOO outgoing and bubbly and crazy, and well I'm pretty much the opposite. But she helps me branch out!
I'm so happy to have you around Albert :) Love you bunches and can't wait to celebrate together this week for my bday!!

And the Icing on the 21st birthday cake...

Emily is part of my usual gang of friends who I've been friends with since high school. Her boy toy, Robert, has been on the blog before too, and when I called him to ask him what I should do for Em's cake, he did NOT do a good job at getting back to me ;) But she told me later that she wanted a nurse's themed cake anyway, so I made a good guess-- thanks to Megan too! This time next year, she will almost be a nurse!

The weekend of Emily's birthday, I had a CRAZY busy weekend. I was out of town for a last minute dance fundraiser the whole weekend, so I had to have my friends pick it up and bring it to her party. It was a double chocolate cake with raspberry filling. I heard it was quite delicious...bartenders were even asking for some! Shots of both kinds were on the sides of her cake :)
So by the end of the night, I was super bummed that I was sitting in a hotel, and all my friends were celebrating emily's birthday and....................... EMILY AND ROBERT'S ENGAGEMENT!!!!!!! :) What a great way to end her bday week by getting engaged. I was sooo soo bummed I missed it, but I couldn't be happier for them! Emily's been one of my closest friends for a long time now, and I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us! Love you Em!
